Day Trip // Ripley's Aquarium

As poor college and university students, it was decided that we were investing in only one day trip as a group this summer and we made the decision of going to Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto!
Our day started out great, we made a very greasy breakfast which we planned the night before, and once we were done we headed out on our road trip.
Shawn was the best driver in the city any one could ask for! I mean, if it were me, I would have definitely gotten into an accident. I'm not aggressive enough for that type of situation.
Anyways, touring the streets, shopping in all the stores I spend way too much money in and going through the aquarium was a very fulfilling day!
Okay, and the weirdest thing that had happened that day, was at the end, we were all so thirsty. That being said we were scavenging through our wallets to find one dollar for a can of iced tea from the food stand. For the life of us we couldn't find Keira a dollar. Then all of a sudden, a complete stranger was walking by and said "here" and handed her a loonie. It was so nice but so random!

Now we're off to our own schools, and we won't see each other until Christmas!

Sister Twinning

Since I'm going away to school in a week, I needed updated sister photos!
There might be a good nine years in between us, but Amelia is such a great friend and we are super close. Maybe because our personalities are almost identical! But I'm going to miss this little rascal after I leave for college.

The Long Weekend

These people are my creative pack. We all met the first year of college and ended up having almost every class together as photography students. In these photos you can only find Matt, Shannon and one shot of Kim, because Sean and Brooke couldn't make it which was really unfortunate. But it was still a really good time regardless of everything that happened.
There were more shots, but the photos did not stand up to quality needs for the blog. But we did ALOT this past weekend: paddle boarding, sun bathing, beer fest, gables, grand bend tours, photo shoots and lots of driving.
I'm glad we were able to see each other at least once this summer and I can't wait to see these people everyday when school starts again this year!
Anyways, here's my long weekend through polaroid photos!

DIY // Flower Crown

Materials:
  • Fake flowers
  • Thread
  • Needle
  • Ribbon

To figure out how many flowers you will need, put the ribbon around your head and mark where you would like the flowers to begin and end. Then lay the ribbon down and place the flowers on top and spread them the way you would like.

With your needle and thread, sew the flower to the ribbon. I have a type of circular ribbon, almost like a rope. This was great because there was a texture to it where the needle went through the individual openings.

It's actually that simple and straight forward!
Since I only had this one shot with me and the crown on, I decided to include an image from a photo shoot I had and used it as a prop. Just so you have a better idea of what the flower crown actually looked like.
